Rules and Guidelines for Class Lists and Results
For those wondering why certain results appear in the different class lists — and why some do not — the following is a brief description of the rules and principles used by DRDB.eu.

General Rules for All Lists

Independence

DRDB.eu is an independent and is not officially affiliated with, governed by, or operated on behalf of any racing organization, sanctioning body, championship, team, or commercial entity.
All content, classifications, and result handling are managed independently based on the rules, principles, and interpretations established for the database.

Included Classes

• Only classes considered relevant for long-term performance comparison are included.
This means classes where ET performance can reasonably be compared over time. Breakout classes such as Super classes and bracket racing classes are therefore generally excluded.
• Certain classes operating under Advanced ET regulations or safety breakouts may still be included due to the significant interest surrounding those classes.
• In vehicle-group lists without an official dedicated class, results are collected from participation in other racing classes.
• In Sport Compact categories, results from test sessions and exhibition runs may also be included, provided the runs are officially recorded and approved.

Accepted Results

• DRDB.eu relies on the assumption that track preparation, track length, timing systems, result sheets, and time slips are accurate and comply with generally accepted European drag racing standards.
• Event organizers and racers are considered trustworthy unless evidence suggesting otherwise becomes available.
• If the validity of a result is questioned, the result may temporarily be hidden from public lists while the matter is being reviewed.

Data Included in the Database

• The database primarily collects final ET results for the distance generally associated with the class. In most cases, this means 402 meters / 1320 feet.
• In addition to ET results, the best speed recorded during the event is also stored.
• Where available, the database may also store best 201-meter (1/8 mile) results in 402-meter and 1000-foot classes.

Excluded Results

• Results must be achieved during officially approved competition or licensing runs within classes operating under established class regulations.
• Any run disqualified or rejected by the event officials or race director is excluded regardless of the reason.

Specific class list rules

FIA and FIM (formerly UEM)

These classes could also be described as professional-level classes.
The current naming convention is used primarily to make it easier for visitors to locate the correct category.
Results are collected from all events where the class is run — not exclusively from FIA or FIM sanctioned events.

Competition Eliminator

This category collects results from all index classes operating under the CIC system.
Local or unofficial variants are not included.

Sport Compact

Sport Compact categories are vehicle-type based classes.
Included results may consist of:
• Results from official Sport Compact class competition
• Results achieved while competing in other classes
• Individual approved time slips from test sessions or exhibition runs

Advanced ET Classes

Classes operating under Advanced ET regulations include, for example, Top Doorslammer and Pro Comp.
Only runs remaining within the applicable breakout limits are included in the rankings.

Final Notes

DRDB.eu reserves the right to interpret these rules and to modify, adjust, or add rules whenever necessary in order to maintain consistent and fair result handling.
